I forgot my password and the alternate email address was only the last option that shows in resetting my password.but that email is no longer functional. I don't hav any other options like answering security questions or through phone no .. I tried calling yahoo customer care.. I was on a hold for like 3 hrs and suddenly got disconnected..please anyone can help me how to reset my password without the use of alternate email address.. Thank u

Here is the solution provided by Yahoo:

Go to this page
https://io.help.yahoo.com/contact/index?page=home&locale=en_CA&y=PROD_ACCT
Select password and sign in
Select forgot password
Click on "password helper"

open an e-mail case. If you do not know your security question, in the space provided for them, write "unknown"
