Opening atachments

Hello,
when I get atachments I clickon them to open once downloaded and some of them come out as loads of symbols not readable text. Any suggestions?

What type of files are the attachments? It sounds as though you are using the worng software to open them. Please let us know what kind of fiels they are, and do you have the software to view them?
