My desktop computer screen is turning on and off.

The day before my desktop was perfectly fine and now today my Viewsonic desktop computer screen won't even let me see it for no loner than one second. And I have no idea what to do.

You will need to determine if the problem is with the monitor, the computer or the cable connecting the two.
1. do you have another computer to use to test the monitor?
2. do you have another monitor to use to test the computer?
3. do you have another cable to test with?
