The printer's ink pads are at the end of their service life

Hello,
i saw the post about the program to reset the counter. however, i'm on a mac, not on windows, and that software/program is only for windows (it's an .exe file). any advice for mac users? (Please don't say 'get a life and buy a PC'. really tired of hearing that, and equally happy with my mac

Ok get a life and buy a new printer. Ink is about to start leaking out of printer.

well my printer is saying that, it's not even a year old, hardly used, nothing but problems with it from day one, but because i'm not using genuine ink cartridges not under warrantly, why would i buy a new one?
