How do i recover deleted emails on gmail

Hello,

i bumped into one of ur questions from long time ago about the subject, i did try the arrow on the search inquiry but it did not work, i was wondering if there was another way to get them back, i did empty the trash my self but, was wondering if there was a way to get them back.
