I have acre laptop aspiire 4930. The HDMI port is not working although when
i connect it to the tv, it says connected. Do you think it wise of me to
replace the hdmi port or repair ir if possible.
The laptop is functioning well with the other features. I am using os Vista Home premium

Normally laptop motherboard repair is not possible. They are constructed in such a way that you can't replace most parts.
