Hi aubrey,
Try this:
Boot into "Safe Mode". If you dont know how to do this get back to me and let me know what version of Windows you have.
When the desktop appears, Click on Start.
Type "devmgmt.msc" (without the quote marks "") and press Enter. "Device Manager" will be opened.
Expand "Display adapters" on the right hand side.
Under the "Display adapter", right-click on your display adapter.
Select "Uninstall" and answer "Yes" to the warning.
Restart your laptop.
You should now have a nice one-screen display.
