SD memory card is not readable

Hello,
I am trying to read a SD memory card in my PC using a card reader.
When I insert the card reader in to the PC the Removable disk icon is appearing but i can't open it. When I try to open the icon its showing insert the disk.

I am using windows 7 OS.

The same memory card is not detected in Samsung Galaxy phone and in Nokia phone.

Hello Ramsha,
Did you try to change the USB port?
Try your card reader with any other computers?
what it showed up in device manager?
