Hello,
What kind of Mac do you have? (ppc or intel)
and which O.S are you on? (Mac os 10.---> 3, 4, 5?)
See you!

Mac 0SX version 10.4.11 (that's what it says).
Like I said, I'm not very good with computers, how do I know if it is intel or ppc?

Oh okay, I don't know how I missed that before! It's intel, thank you so much for your help so far.
Okay, now we'll gonna uninstall all you could have tried to install from flash player.
So you download that, then run it.
If you use safari or firefox, you'll be asked to close it.
So now you download stuffit expander to unzip the next file we'll get.
You install stuffit.
And now, you download flash 10.
Normally, you'll be asked to open it with Stuffit.
A new icon will appear on your desktop.
It's a file with a "dmg" extension (install flash...dmg) you double click on it and a new window appear with the precious red icon.
You can run flash and install it.
Don't forget to close your browser, before telling me if THAT works. :)
See you.
Ps: Your password should be asked three times: Can you confirm please?
And also could you please tell me if there were no french words during installation of stuffit expander?

Okay, I got to the point where I clicked on the red icon and tried to open it with stuffit. Then it says that it is on locked volume and to try something else...
-If you mean here; It's a file with a "dmg" extension (install flash...dmg) you double click on it and a new window appear with the precious red icon.
At this moment you don't need Stuffit anymore. You just have to double click on the icon.
-If you mean before (so the zip file), take a look at the fourth message from this page.

I meant after. When I click on the red icon, for some reason it tries to open with quicktime? Like a quicktime screen will pop up and says this cannot be played. I don't know why that's happening...so that's why I tried to go to open with stuffit.

Okay I tried closing my browser but still the same thing. When I click on the icon a little screen pops up with a quicktime symbol on it saying "This movie could not be opened. Mac OS error-1409" I have no idea why quicktime opens up every time I click it.
I'll look around for this error 1409.
If it's not done, update your system and your programs.
I'm tired, I go to bed (5 o'clock here).
But I often come on the forum, so I hope we'll see again to manage that problem.
Bye.
