Laptop turns on, no screen(desktop not coming after password gin

Thanks a lot for the solution. My laptop turns on but after i type the password my desktop not coming,only a blank page. i removed the battery, press switch button for around 1 min while no battery in laptop, plugin charger nd turned laptop on, shut down nd now with battery turn on nd restart, it should work . If not working repeat the process.
