How to connect computers?

Hello,

I own a small business that has two offices. The front office computer has the main software for our business sales and also Quickbooks for book keeping. The second office has the Quickbooks installed but does not have the main sales software on it. My goal is to be able to see files from the first computer and make changes at the same time using my second computer. What do I need to do to accomplish that?
