On opening any site on my pc a red cross appears at http of web address and a message is displayed that it is a private site with no authentication certificate and it is unsafe to open it. I am using chrome and free version of avast. I tried reloading both. No results. What can it be due to and what is the solution?

It appears that you need to reset the internet security settings to the default level.
