Hi Dominic,
On the formula window where you input the criteria, you will find a help link in the bottom left.
Clicking on that will learn you that all criteria ranges should be the same size and that the criteria should be a single value.
You have use different range sizes and where the criteria should be you used a range as well.
The function help also shows some examples of how to use the formula correctly.
