My CPU turns off spontaneously.

When I turn on my CPU it gives a light which indicates that it is turned on but after 2 or 3 seconds it turns off.

It could be a failed motherboard or faulty memory module. You might first try removing one of the memory modules. If that doesn't help then it time to have a PC repair shop take a look at it.
