my hardisk's is not accesible, wen i click on it a box message comes up with this: H:/ nt accessible, Data Error (cyclic redundancy check). what do i do

Is this a SATA or a USB?

Bad Sectors happen as the HDD degrades and it begins to wears out. Yes, more bad sectors will happen eventually. Just Run chkdsk /R on the H: drive every once in a while to extend it's life.


CRC errors are caused by bad sectors or because the drive is not communicating with the computer.

Excellent explanation. Great fix, too! Just run the chkdsk from a cmd prompt with elevated rights. Other than that, try what he said!
