My hp dv2700 heating and shuts down after 5 min repeatedly

hello,
my hp dv2700 laptop has a heating problem. it starts normally. after 5 min the screen goes blank and the power to the lap top goes out completely. then on pressing the power button it resumes to the last page before the blanking out. it keeps happening repeatedly. what should i do? can anyone help

As you mentioned it is heating issue, did you try to put your laptop on a place where there is enough amount of air circulation, also see this link to avoid overheating of laptop:
