i have the same problem,i recently accept the new version on msn accidentally and now i cant access to video call anymore,any one knows whats the problem?

I guess the new version is not completely reliable, try to put back the previous one...

i'm using LG notebook and Ubuntu OS. previouly while i used XP my built-in webcam was working. but now i cant use it. when someone sent request for webcam on chat room, it shows it's not supported. plz help me out.

You have to install the driver of your webcam...
Under Linux, the main part of these drivers is developped by volunteers, cause the devices manufacturers developpe it for M$ OS only... By chance more and more take care on Linux now...
In order to find the good driver, please tell us :
- Is your webcam independant? => give us the exact identification of this webcam
or
- is it a part of your PC? => give us the exact identification of your LG notebook
