Hi. I'm running a Fujitsu Siemens LI1718 and over the last couple of days it has been messing with my head :(
I put a DVD, CD, DVD-ROM or CD-ROM into my disc drive (fujitsu MHW2120BH ATA) and it spins as if its going to work, then stops spinning after about 30 seconds, and nothing happens. im outside of my warranty now, so i'de rather not have to take it to a shop. I've looked at some other threads and tried most of the solutions which appear to have worked for other people, but none of thee have worked for me. I've checked to see if my driver wants an update, but nooo. I'm running Vista Home by the way :)
Its driving me insane!

hi,
check if the IDE cable is correctly conected to the drive.
try to replace the cable to see if it works.
if still it does not work, get another drive.
