Dvd rom wont read dvd

Hello,

hi my dvd rom isnt reading dvds its asus latptop and on dvd rom its written dvd multi recorder

Will it not play anything? If it only has problems with that one disk, it could scratched in just the right place, or it maybe was never closed for viewing on other devices! That is the first place to start, see if any movie plays.

Are you certain it is a DVD drive?
