Hello,

wifi is not getting connected on my laptop. I got an error message wifi catcher band configuration is not compatible with WLAN card band configuration. The wifi is working on other devices at home. The wifi light isn't coming on. When I tried to repair the wireless network connectors it gives an error message ' windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed. There is no Connecting to the wireless network.'

It is the isp box. I encourage you to call your isp for support, you are already paying for that support!

Wifi in a car needs a cell phone connection to work. Have you configured the cars connection?

it us in the router itself. gain access to it and verify the band's. your laptop only supports a b and g band's. it is possible you router us is only sending out the n band in which case your laptop cannot speak on that band!

This laptop appears to be five or six years old. Is that correct and did this PC previously connect to the wifi router?

If it worked previously then you probably have a hardware failure. Most Dell laptops have a removable wifi card that can be replaced otherwise you can replace the wifi with an external USB wifi adapter.

Good Luck
