Hello, 
I have been getting yahoo yahoo verification codes sent to my phone for the passed two days. I do not have a yahoo account. I have also been getting phone calls from a san jose Ca number either right after or before the text messages are sent. This all happens around 2am east coast time so i haven't answered the phone to find out if they are connected. Can you explain why this might be happening and make it stop.

Well someone thinks they still have your number, and are trying to recover their yahoo account associated with that mobile number.  You should be contacting yahoo, we cannot help.

Hello Kevin and Mark,

Based on my experience, Mark is right with his given link, it is scam.  I will also bet a dime to a doughnut that the phone number will take you to a person with a accent heavy from far East.
