Is it your router or your ISP's? Have your restarted it? Is there a cable between this wifi gateway and your ISP gateway?
is there an ethernet cable between the two devices? Or is this an ISP device?

I'm boarding, so the owner of the house has the modem at his side of the house. He runs Ethernet cable through the house and that's what I use to connect to the router
OK, so take a picture of the router and post it here. Try to get both devices into the picture please.
