Not sure what to do...

Hello,

ok so i tried task manager and starting a new task and using explorer.exe my start menu flashes on then goes away again. when i go to the processes tab i don't see any explorer programs running, i don't have the money to get a new computer or to get it checked out right now, any suggestions are incredibly appritiated.
