Gmail account recovery do not know my gmail account name

Hi,
I got a g-mail account when I bought my android 4 years ago. I never used that as a primary e-mail account; however, I did a lot of backing up to that accounts. My phone died this week and I bought a new android phone, but I do not know my gmail account name or password. (they were both memorized by my old phone which will not turn on at this time.) any suggestions on how to proceed?
