Just upgrade with new ram and comp wont reboo

Hello,
just upgraded with new ram pretty much identical to ram that was in comp tried all combo's ,its a amd 64x2 Athlon it had 2x 3301 HYNIX 512 MB pc 3200 DDR 400 ,the New RAM has DDR 400 512 MB pc 400 and still getting continuos long beep sounds ,Please help . got the ram from where i brought comp , they are closed till monday thanx

try that replaced and pushed in till clicked tight an still beeps with the brand new ram also

Reset the bios on the motherboard, it may redetect...otherwise check mobo manual for possible dip switch settings if its an old pc.

if i have to reset bios 1st of all comp wont boot up as for mobo hmm i have a manual somewhere comp is three years old also will try thanx but if comp is not rebooting can i go any further cheers

hi,
this may be due to loose connection between the motherboard and the RAM pins.
remove the RAM and then plug it again.
if the problem persists, then the RAM may be faulty.
