Nokia c1 01 Closed

Sir,
       Namaste!
                             
        I am Patel . My friend Mr Nair while coming from USA brought  a NOKIA C1 01 handset 
to India.  (This was a redundant item lying with his son This was not being used by his son there. )
After inserting a sim it is not working. We came to know that this is to be " UNLOCKED", which we are not in position to understand.  Kindly help us.

I would love to help you, but you must be able to prove that you are the phone's legitimate owner and you can't. Everyday mobiles are stolen, although you may be honest, we do not wish to help potential criminals.
