Can't log into yahoo mail on my pc only my phone

Hello,
I've been trying to access my email online via my pc, but it won't let me enter my password, it only asks for my phone number and then says it will send me a verification code. Why can't I just log in with my password?

You can login, just use the verification code sent to you.
