When I turn the monitor on, it flashes once, then goes black.

Hello, my monitor isn't working properly. When I turn it on, it flashes once, then goes black for around 5 seconds, then flashes a second time and then it just stays black. What should I do?

Does the OSD (On screen display) work? Push the menu button and see if anything displays. If not, then the monitor is bad. Let us know.
