How to restore missing audio files

My headphone jack is not working at all and when I try to plug in ANY sort of headphones/earbuds, nothing happens. I did some research and it turns out, some of my files are probably missing, however, it says everywhere I need to "update windows" to get them back. My question is, how do I "update windows" if no update is available?

Where is "everywhere" that says that you need to update windows, certainly not on CCM ?

What do you mean by audio files ? Audio files have nothing to do with headphones.

Sorry I don't mean Audio files I mean "drivers". Sorry for confusing you those are two completely different things

Go to the manufacturer's website/support/download and download and install the drivers compatible with your operating system.
