Xbox One controller shuts offClosed

Question

I want my xbox controller to stay on all the time for gta5, but after a few minutes it shuts off, I have been in to the settings to keep the console on all the time but the controller still shuts off. How do I get my controller to stay on and not get me kicked off from the session I'm in on gta5?

all I can think of is the battery might be low on power.
or if its wired, then it could be the wire itself.
try moving around the wire to get a solid connection. 
hold it with tape.

Are you SURE the batteries aren't low?  Do you have multiple controllers, do they all turn off?

You do understand that any usb type c cord will do the trick for charging.  It does not need to be the usb port from the console that charges!
