Configure Whatsapp on another device.

I have Whatsapp loaded on my primary phone. I want to load it on another phone, but I don't get the option to scan a QR code as I did on my tablet.

It asks me to enter my phone number to verify. I went thru that once and it deleted the acct from my primary phone. So, how do I get it to give me the QR code so I can add it as another device in my account. This phone is my old one with no SIM card. Operates on WiFi only.
