How is this possible? Number for Google p/word reset unknown

Hello,

How is this possible? I created a google account and not having my glasses on iniyially i kept typing the password in wrong.it gave me a text option to a number i dont know, i thought it was strange as id not saved my number upon creating it. The numbers vs my phone arent near each other so its unlikeky to be a typo error.

Whats strange is i remember the last 2 digits are the same as the last 2 numbers a long time ago whe i was trying to do work on microsoft word when on sign in there it gave me a password reset option with the same last 2 numbers..

What am i misding here?
