ok, first open the run box
start/run.
in there type msinfo32
select the components +
select the sound entry.
in the right hand window will give details of the sound device. Manufacturer etc.
write that down.
now go to this link
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=3331648&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=uk
select the operating system of your laptop.
then go to the correct driver for your audio device. download and install
