Virus attack on exe.files...

ok.. I must have downloaded a virus.. My spyware is crap and didn't remove it. I don't have any good virus removal software and my laptop now will not do anything.. I have an external USB modem with vodafone so I cannot get on the Internet. It's really frustrating and I I've no idea what to do. I have avira butbit won't let it scan my comp.. N the onlything that scans is some windows spyware but I have to pay 50 for 3 month protection. At first I thought it was some ad scam but now I cannot do anything.. So if anyone has any possible solutions let me know... Much appreciated

I think your best bet would be to wipe your hdd and start from scratch. investing in a decent internet security software package before going back online.
