My hp laptop will turn on but hard drive sto

I have an HP Pavillion dv6000

Whenever I would turn it on the harddrive light would turn on along with the power button...
However the hardware light will go off and on along with the fan... it does this every 30 seconds and
The screen won't turn on at all?

Can I get some input on what could be wrong? Thanks

Hi there,

This is due to over heating and power unit not responding correctly,get it checked by professionals so as no damages are done to it.
