Problems with tv and hdmi

Hello,
@ first my ps3 was working fine with the hdmi cable in use, and for whatever reason when i came back from work and wanted to use the ps3 my hdtv read that there was no signal. So i figured that i can use my avi cord and that worked. Went to the video settings tried it with my hdmi cable again and still read that there was no signal bout ready to throw my ps3 out the window and get a new one but i know that will not happen just gotta be patient
