Hello,
im demon
and i know that some of you dont realize that certain 32 bit operating systems can detect 4 gigs of ram. you need to update your bios to see the 4 gigs and you will see it in the bios.
im running windows 7 home premium and it shows 4 gigs regardless on my laptop and it saves me a lot of time downloading programs as well. you should always upgrade your bios to get better detection on ram my laptop can support up to 8 gigs of ram and hopefully a 64bit processor as well according to the specs that i read for the toshiba that i have which is a L455D-S5976 model so you guys and gals should listion to him or her when they tell you something. Thanks and i was wandering if i could run a 64bit proc. on my laptop

Greetings,

To install a 64 bit system, your processor must first be compatible with the system, ie that is a 64 bit too. But in most cases, laptop that have 4 GB of RAM can easily run on 64 bits because theses system are designed for laptop having more than 3 Giga of RAM.

So, Is that your laptop has a 64 bit processor, that is the question.

PS: Do not confuse 64 bit processor and 64 bit system.
