Hello,

When I start up my HP Compaq nc6230, it says the following:

We apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.... it goes on to say more and it gives me the following options:
Safe mode
Safe Mode with networking
Safe mode with Command prompt
Last known good configuration
Start windows normally

I have tried every option. When I do, it flashes a blue screen and then restarts. I've also tried pressing ALL the "F" keys and it stays at that screen. What should I do? I'm not sure what caused the problem. My guess is that it might be a virus but i'm not sure. Please help!

You probably need to re-install Windows and/or replace the hard drive. This message is given when Windows can't complete its initial startup.

Good Luck
