Computer detects headphones, but I can't hear it.

I've recently bought a headphone that came with a microphone. My computer says it detects it but when I talk to friends they said they couldn't hear me. The speaker and everything's ok, but not the mic. Can someone help me with this issue? Thanks. (Btw I'm using Windows 8 with the latest update).

Try this 1

Click on the below hyperlink "Microphone" and follow the instructions.

If you are using Skype or any other messenger, then check your microphone

settings in that particular application also.
