Toshiba laptop reboot and select proper boot device or insert bo

When I turn on my laptop it shows a black screen with a message saying reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot fevice and press any key.it hasnt got a compartment for a disc at all. How do I fix this pllz

OK, this is a tricky one, and if you are not familiar with the BIOS settings, it would be a really easy one for your local technician to fix in less than a minute. If you are familiar with the bios, then mark the primary disk as the active one, and mark it boot from it. BTW, you need a new CMOS battery!

How to do what? There are multiple instructions within this post.

Take it to a technician?

Get into the BIOS?

Mark the disk as primary?

Change the CMOS battery?

Which one are you having a problem with?
