Two excel sheets copy new data input on one sheet to new row on

Hello,

I have an excel spreadsheet that I have to update periodically overwriting old data. I have another sheet where I need to update the same info, but need to keep the old data. Is there any way to automate the process of moving over the new data into a new row on the second sheet when I update the first sheet?

So sheet #1, Row #2 has a date of 12/31/16

I have sheet #2, Row #2 copy that info

When I update Sheet #1, Row #2 to say 12/31/17

I want Sheet #2, Row #2 to still say 12/31/16, but
have Sheet #2, Row #3 to add in the new date of 12/31/17
