The Roast Master doesn't stop there—it also analyzes your MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) personality, and your love life, assigns you a totem animal, gives you a life motto, lists your strengths and weaknesses, and even predicts your fortune for 2024. You can also test your love compatibility with another profile!

Roast Master: The Question of Data Protection

Behind Roast Master is Monica, a Google Chrome extension created by Butterfly Effect, a Singapore-based company founded in 2023. Powered by advanced language models like GPT-4 and Claude 3, Monica acts as a real assistant with whom you can chat in natural language. She can correct your texts, summarize documents and web pages, and even generate images. The roasting function has become particularly popular, as seen in the numerous posts on X and TikTok from users trying it out!

However, this collective self-mockery raises some concerns. As one Reddit user pointed out, the AI can analyze accounts set to "private," which makes us question the level of confidentiality promised by social networks—especially given that X is currently facing eight complaints in Europe for the illegal use of personal data. Additionally, the methods used by Butterfly Effect are not entirely transparent on this issue... A reminder that we should be cautious about what we share online!
