RTRO is an instant film app that's the main goal is to bring vintage effects to your photos and videos through a real-time, instant film emulation. The app was developed by Moment Inc.
What are the key features of RTRO?
- Professional filters: what makes this app unique, is that there are many filters that were developed by famous filmmakers and photographers. Those filters include Thaxter, Savannah, Cine-16, Sunset, Chromatear, and Lilmood, among others.
- Video effects: with the RTRO app, you can snap videos of up to 60 seconds. Besides the retro vibes, you can also trim and crop your videos, and caption clips in slow-motion and dolly zoom (RTRO+).

How does RTRO work?
RTRO is a user-friendly app, especially if you have some basic knowledge of photography. It allows you to select your lens and frame rates (available for the RTRO+ subscription). Zoom is possible by holding your finger on the screen and sliding with two fingers and you only have to swipe left and right to swipe between looks (filters).
Is RTRO free?
You can download and use this app for free. The app contains some optional in-app purchases that start from $1.99. There is also a paid RTRO+ version that costs $3.99 a month ($24.99 yearly subscription) and that includes the optional purchases.
