Trying to reclaim my yahoo mail account forgotten password

in trying to use the "help" site - no matter what I try it just keeps resetting - and going around in circles - the phone used as identification is not mine - it has been hacked - and I need to get into it - ***@*** is an alternate contact point.

When you created the account, did you register an alternate recovery email address or phone number to which you have access to receive a reset code?
