How to recover a Gmail account?

Hello,

i broke up with my ex-partner and he hacked my facebook account, changed the email,password , recovery settings.
i have found out the gmail email used on the account. but i have no idea how to get into it as i dont know any of the recovery answers, nor do i know the password.

could you help?

If you can't access your account, how were you able to determine that the email, password and recovery settings were changed? How have you found the gmail address used to access the account.
