Hello,
I have a flashdrive that Ive had for years and it has all my work on it I got a new computer and now it wants to reformat so I can not get my things on it off or even open them. I put it back into my old computer and its do it their as well I have now tried every family members computer and library computer and nothing!!! I need the files on this drive. I have pictures I can not replace work I cant replace and other things that I don't have other copies of or even can recreate.

It's too late now. But, you should always have two backups and the original data. It's a certainty that any flash drive will eventually fail. I would also copy the data to new media every five years.
