Hi,

I just installed PSE 2018. When I try to edit a photo, it says 'not enough RAM'. I went to Edit > Preferences > Performance. It does not respond after that. Message choose an integer between 8 and 50. Please help before I burn the photoshop disc.

Hey,

A bit more info is needed.
  • Version of Windows?
  • Make and model of the PC?
  • CPU ID and memory size installed?

Thanks!

Here are the details:
  • Lenovo 510 Ideapad with 4GB RAM,
  • 500GB storage drive C, 500GB drive D.
  • Core i3
  • Windows 10 pro.

After a lot of googling the problem is with the adobe pse2018 software

Hey,

Here is the solution I found:
  • Ensure PSE 2018 is closed when using regedit.
  • Run regedit
  • Go to hkey current user > Software > Adobe > Photoshop elements > 16.0
  • Right click in right pane > New dword 32 bit value
  • Type > OverridePhysicalMemoryMB
  • Open it > change to decimal > Enter 8000 (eg 8000 MB for 8 GB RAM)
  • Click Ok and close regedit.
