Hello, today whilst playing a game on my computer it completely turned off unexpectedly, no BSOD, it just fully shutdown. When i try to press the power button on the case there is no response from the computer at all.

Ever since i upgraded my CPU from a AMD A6-6400K to a AMD Athlon II X4 880K i have been getting a frequent BSOD with the error code: “KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE” i have no idea if this is relevant at all. I did attempt at fixing this error code using all methods found online, it did not fix anything.

Whenever i turn off the switch on the back of the PSU and then turn it back on and then press the power button, the case light turns on for a split second and then turns off again.

Attempts at fixing:
• I have tried swapping the RAM to a different slot on the motherboard.
• I have unplugged everything from the computer pressed power button 5 times and reconnected everything.
• I have left the PSU unpowered for around 30 minutes and reconnected the PSU.
• I have unplugged the external GPU.

Computer Specs:
Motherboard - Gigabyte f2a58m-hd2
CPU - AMD Athlon II X4 880k @ 3.5Ghz
GPU - Saphire RX 460+ Nitro 4gb
RAM - 1x8gb Kingston 1333mhz DDR3
HDD - Kingston Blue 1TB
PSU - WinPower AD-E500AE-A5/A6 500W
Case - Galaxy 3

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated, thank you

What revision is the MB? Have you checked to see if there is a FIRMWARE revision for your MB? There may be a fix on https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-F2A58M-HD2-rev-3x#ov
