My avg 8.5 is not opening in Vista

Hello, i am encountering problems while i try to run my avg antivirus 8.5. they say that the side by side configuration is incorrect.i also faced the same problem with avg antivirus 8.0.it ran perfectly in my windows xp but i am countering this problem in my laptop which is Vista.please help me out

Hello, You will have to upgrade your vista to service pack 1! it should work afterwards
