IPad and Android phone Help

Cannot text from the new iPad to my Android contacts. Cannot figure out how to accomplish this. My Android phone will be with me but I need to be able to text from my new iPad.

Welcome to the apple island. You will be stranded here on your island, as there is no boat between you amd the next island over called android. There may be little row boats tou can find, but alays use apps from the store, never download apps from a website. If the app is not in the store do not download and install it on your devices!
